Get ready for a double shot of cross-border rivalry.
The Muskie boys hockey team is prepping to host the International Falls Broncos twice on Boxing-Day.
Well, sort of, since some of the players aren't in high school anymore.
At 3 p.m. the current Muskie and Bronco squads will face off. Then at 5 p.m. alumni from both schools, age 30 and over, will rumble.
Event organizer and former Muskie coach Terry Ogden is looking to fill out the alumni roster with players who are still active.
Interested alumni can contact Ogden at 274-5195 or miss_molly@sypatico.ca
Admission for both games is $7 for adults and $5 for studends.
The Muskie boys’ hockey team displayed an exceptional flair for the dramatic in Dryden over the weekend.
David Chambers followed his second-period goal with the lone tally of the shootout to lift the black-and-gold to a 2-1 victory over the St. John’s-Ravenscourt Eagles (Winnipeg) in the final of a pre-season tournament on Saturday.
