Born and raised in Devlin, ON, Davis has dedicated his whole life to hockey, even from a young age. After a successful junior career, his passion for playing the game evolved and he began teaching the game to aspiring young athletes...

  • During 2011-2012 season he lead the Bantam AA Canadians to five gold medal games and two tournament wins.
  • In 2012 Davis and the FFMHA established the "Breakfast Club" Program, which is open to all FFMHA players, and focuses on individual skill development for players looking to take their game to the next level; Davis continues to teach this weekly skill development program.
  • And after accepting another head coach position for the AAA NWO Northstars, this past season, Davis signed on for an even bigger challenge, as head coach for the Fort Frances Muskie boys’ hockey team.

Ken "Keno" Christiansen
Asstistant Coach

Keno is the Muskie boys' most valuable and respected asset.

Keno values his time with this team, and receives a tremendous amount of respect from the players, considering how much time and work he has dedicated to the team over the years. Keno builds relationships with the players, on and off the ice, that lasts long after they have left the team.

Keno has been coaching the Muskie Boys hockey team since 1983, and has a total of 49 years coaching experience! His own hockey career consisted of playing for:

  • The International Falls High School Broncos
  • The Fort Frances Canadians
  • The Fort Frances Junior Royals.

Prior to retirement, Keno worked in the paper mill in Fort Frances, and still resides in town with his wife, Mickey. Keno and Mickey have raised two sons, Ricky and Mike, who Keno coached all throughout their Minor Hockey days, from 1973-1983. In 2012 Keno was named Citizen of the Year, which to those who know him, was a well-deserved honour.

The players, coaching staff, FFHS, and the community are fortunate to have such a dedicated man with this team for another season.

Neil "Coops" Cooper
Goalie Coach

Neil is no stranger to the Muskie hockey program. After 5 years as a goalie coach for the Muskies, from 2001-2005, Neil returns as a valuable asset to the team.

A hockey veteran himself, having played over 600 games in a 12-year career, Neil's dedication and work ethic helped him move up the ranks from high school hockey, to Junior A, Div. II, and Div. I. Throughout this career, Neil has won an All-Ontario Championship, Centennial Cup Championship, and a National Championship in 1998 with the Bemiji State Beavers.

Neil brings years of experience, as a trainer and goalie coach, to the Muskies this season. Neil has previously coached goalies from the Muskies, Borderland Thunder, Fort Frances Lakers, and the AA Borderland International Hockey School, some of which are now playing Junior A, and Div. I hockey.

Neil retired as a player in 1998 to complete his education and currently holds an A.A. Degree, B.A. in Biology, Doctor of Chiropractic, Bachelor of Education, and belongs to the Ontario Teachers College.

Neil and his “better half”, Tanis, along with their children Lane, Dakota, and Keaton, reside in Fort Frances, ON. Presently, Neil enjoys teaching hockey knowledge to his own children and the rest of the Introductory Program-One players.
